Veneers that look too white or artificial

Teeth that feel bulky or all the same

A visible line near the gums over time

Worry about how much natural tooth needs to be altered and whether the teeth will feel sensitive or uncomfortable
Dr Vicky's Solution
Natural-looking veneers aren’t about the material alone.
They’re about how carefully everything is planned.
My approach considers:
- How light passes through natural enamel
- Tooth shape, texture, and natural characteristics and variations
- Facial balance and tooth proportions
- The frame of the smile. Ie; the lips and face
- Gum symmetry and height
- Patient's goals and desires

- A step-by-step overview
It's all designed to help you make an informed decision.
Step 1:
Consult - to find out your goals and aspirations for your new smile and diagnose your bite, current smile and health of your teeth. Treatment options and costs will be discussed here.
Step 2:
Smile design - we take scans and photos of your teeth so that we can design your new smile with you. We take in to consideration the shapes that suit your face, lips and flow of your smile, and determine the characteristics that you want to have to make it uniquely you, and then we create a mock up for you to view
Step 3:
Once you are happy with the mock up, we will then prepare your teeth for veneers, (if preps are needed) and place the mock ups as your temporary trial smile. You get to try out your new smile for a few weeks before the final porcelain is made.
Step 4:
When you have agreed the temporaries are the right size, colour and shape you like for your new smile, then the final porcelain veneers are constructed and cemented. You will be 100% sure of what you are getting all the way to the finish.

Porcelain veneers are thin coverings that your dentist will place over your existing teeth to change the shape, colour, size or alignment of your teeth.
They require a lot less preparation of your existing than crowns and far less invasive than dental implants.
In some cases no preparation of teeth is needed at all.
They are handmade in our laboratory and bonded on your teeth .
Porcelain veneers are ideal for people who want to drastically change the appearance of their teeth but whose teeth are not damaged enough to require dental crowns. They can repair cracks, chips, and broken teeth and make your teeth appear straighter and whiter.
While both composite and porcelain veneers are placed on your existing teeth, they are somewhat different. Porcelain veneers are a nonreversible, long-term solution to damaged teeth, whereas composite veneers are reversible and don’t require as much prep. While both are designed to match your existing teeth, porcelain tends to look more natural and last longer, though it is a bit more expensive.
They typically last between 10 and 20 years depending on how you care for them. You need to brush and floss daily like regular teeth. They can break under pressure. Never use your teeth to rip plastic, chew on pins or tear things with your teeth. You should also wear a night guard to prevent chipping from bruxism or night grinding .
Veneers do involve some alteration of the tooth surface, but the amount depends on your individual case.
Part of the planning process is assessing how much preparation is appropriate and whether veneers are suitable at all. Preserving tooth structure is always a priority. In some cases, we do not have to touch the enamel at all. Not all cases involve enamel preparation.
Porcelain veneers are ideal for people seeking a minimally invasive cosmetic solution to unattractive teeth and offer many benefits. They can significantly improve the appearance of teeth and are used to repair cracks, chips, discolouration, and more.
Porcelain veneers also look and feel like your natural teeth and require minimal prep for your existing tooth. Unlike dental implants, they allow you to leave the root structure intact. If you have any additional questions or want to learn more about the procedure, feel free to reach out to our staff, and we will be happy to answer any questions.
Most patients are surprised by how manageable the process is. Generally veneers are not painful during and after treatment because very minimal tooth is removed. No down time is required. However if you have dental anxiety, we offer sedation options for and dental treatment.
Any discomfort varies from person to person and is discussed beforehand so you know what to expect. Care is taken to ensure comfort throughout each stage of treatment.
They can when translucency, shape, texture, and proportions are carefully designed.
Veneers that look artificial usually result from rushed planning or generic designs rather than the veneers themselves.
At Smile Design Studio, we want to make porcelain veneers accessible on a wide range of budgets. We offer fair pricing on all our procedures and provide easy financing so you can get the treatment you need.
There is no set number.
It depends on how many teeth show when you smile, what you want to change, and how much blending is required for a natural result. Some cases involve one tooth, others involve more.
Porcelain veneers are more stain-resistant than natural enamel.
However, good oral hygiene and regular dental care are still important for long-term maintenance.
